It is under the Department of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Teacher Education.
Early Childhood Education and Elementary Teacher Education
The department of Elementary Teacher Education was established in 2003. In April 2008, the name of Elementary Teacher Education Department was changed as Early Childhood Education and Elementary Teacher Education Department (ECE & ETED).
Early Childhood Education and Elementary Teacher Education Department is one of the largest department of Allama Iqbal University in terms of enrollment of the students and the number of courses offered by the department. The department offers PTC CT, B.Ed and Associate Degree in Education Programme (ADE).
ADE is a transitional two years program of 72 credit hours linked with and leads to B.Ed (Honors) and will replace the existing PTC and CT programs providing an opportunity to prospective teachers to enhance their academic qualification and acquire a professional degree.

- SPECIALIZED 06
Aims & Objectives
- To equip the prospective teachers with adequate knowledge of subject matter, contemporary pedagogy techniques, communication skills and critical thinking.
- To offer Pre-service : Teacher Education program that allows the Prospective Teachers to move through a four year B.Ed., by completing part of the degree (ADE)
Duration
Two Year Degree Program Consisting of four semesters. If student wants to continue 04 year (08 semesters), they will get 04 years B.Ed (lions) Degree.
Eligibility for Admission
- FA/F. Sc/A levels with 45% Marks
- Applicant with “A!’ level or other certificate will submit equivalence certificate.
Admissions will start in Autumn, 2014
